How to say “enough” in Thai language

Have you ever known?  what to say when you are feeling like to finish something or you want to stop something. Here is Thai word I’ d like to tell you is ” Phaaw ” mean enough. You can use this word to speak to Thai people many of different action such as:

If you finish eating and do not want it any more . You can say Phaaw laew

Phaaw or Phaaw laew also mean Mai ao which mean NO

Additionally, Phaaw means Father but pronounced different

How to say Him in Thai language

Khao means  Him or Her  in Thai.

Phuak khao mean them.

Not only This word ” Khao “  mean pronoun but also there are  various meaning in Thai. And it is pronounced differently such as:

Khao means entry

example : To get inside the house  is Khao Baan. And you can say to someone Khao ma ?  mean Come in ?

Khao means knee

example : knee down or kneel is kook khao.

Also word ” khao ” means Horn and it is pronounced the same as Khao which mean Him or Her.

Last time I wrote about verbs .And one of those verbs I ‘d like to explain more is word Maa means Come

This word Maa you can use it to  say different proposition

example : Maa grung thep mean come to Bangkok

Maa gaawn mean  to come previously

Maa gin khaao mean to come to eat This sentence you can say to invite friend come o join food together

Maa jaak mean to come from…

Maa nee mean to come here

Maa chuay mean to come to help

Maa naan laew mean for long time already

Maa phop mean to come and meet

Maa rap mean to come and pick up something or someone

Maa yiiam mean to visit someone

Maa lai wan laew mean Have come for a few day or more

Maa haa is same as Maa phop

Maa theung mean to arrive

Today learning about verb in Thai language that is used in life everyday. Useful

Pai means go. Pai duay mean  Go togethr

Maa mean come . Maa duay gan mean come together. Maa Chaa or Maa Sai mean come later.

Gin means eat. Gin khao mean eat food

Hiu means hungry . Hiu nam mean thirsty

Lap means sleep. Lap ta mean close eyes

Bpit means close . Bpit Ta mean close eyes. Bpit pratoo mean close the door

Wai nam mean swim . Pai wai nam mean go swimming

Wing means run.

Dern means walk . Dern len mean Talk a walk

Dai Yin mean Hear

Deum means  drinking  Deum nam mean To drink water

Hen, Mong means see

Dten means Dance

How to say cute to Thai Girls

Nah rak means Cute or Lovely

There are many words to say such  Nah rak  na  krab or Nah rak dee na krab or Nah rak jang loey krab

If you are close to someone as close friend or friend know each other well for long

You can just say briefly Nah Rak dee na or Nah rak dee and Narak rak jang or Nah rak jang loey

Pick one to say. It’s so easy

Yaae gwah or Laaoy gwah = worse

Tuuk = cheap

Paaeng = expensive

Chao = early

Sai = late

Ngai = easy

Yag = difficult

Rayo = fast

Chah = slow

Dtem = full

Wahng = empty

Gao or gair = old

Mai = new

Dek = young

Yen = cold

Rorn = hot

How to ask Time in Thai language

You wonder if you don’t have the watch in your hand in Thailand or your watch in phone is not right time  and you want to know what time is it ? Let’s s  read this.

Question ” what time is it ? ” is Gee mong (mong mean time )

Time in Thai language

First you must know Thai time number. Here I only use number from 1 – 12

1 = neung

2 = song

3 = saam

4 = see

5 = hah

6 = hok

7 = jet, or neung thoom

8 = bpaaet, song thoom

9 = gao, saam thoom

10 = sib , see thoom

11 = sib et, hah thoom

12 = sib song, thiiang

In the morning

example : 1 am is neung mong chao or tee neung

8 am is  bpaaet  mong chao (Chao mean morning)

8 : 30 am is  bpaaet  mong khreung (khreung mean half )

In the afternoon

example :   12:00 pm is thiiang or thiiang wan

1 pm is Baai mong

3 pm is Baai saam mong

Baai mean period  in the afternoon

In the evening

example :  6 pm is hok mong yen

7 pm is jet mong yen or neung thoom

Yen mean period in the evening

In the niight

example : 9 pm is  gao mong or saam thoom

10 pm is sib mong or see thoom

midnight is thiiang kheuun

Thoom mean period in the night

How to say “Hello” in Thai language

Hello is Sawasdee in Thai

How to speak be courteous

Men should say Sawasdee krab

Women should   say Sawasdee ka

If friends with friends just say Sawasdee that is fine but  does  not mean impolite. People who are very close together use to say.

Other ways to say ” Hello”  in different time .

In the early morning is Aroonsawat or Sawasdee yaam chao mean Good morning.

In the afternoon is Sawasdee ton baai mean Good afternoon

Or Sawasdee ton yen mean Good evening

More polite with people who not know their well  add Krab or Ka in the end.

It ‘s easy word to say I promise….in Thai is “  Phom sanya…”

In addition, if you want to say I promise you that I’ll love only you or I love you forever

Is ” Phom sanya Phom rak khun khon diaw”  or Phom sanya ja rak khun ta lod  bpai “

How to say sweetdream in Thai

Thinking some sweet word to whisper near your lover ears .

Of course it will be so beautiful voice when you are near together

But In long distance ,only good message that would be good enough.

Sweet dream in Thai , is Fan dee  na krab or Fan dee na ka (karb for man say and ka for woman say)

I wish you have  sweet dream , is Phom khaaw hai khun fan dee na krab

another word is Fan  theung…. mean dream about…

example : Fan theung gan na ” this phrase is asking for. This  means I wish you dream about me . you can change word gan as your name or pronoun such as “ phom ” for man say , mean I . Or chan ” for woman say, mean I

Fan theung gan na , it ‘s such a  lovey and easy sentence.
