Thailand is not really that bad with street food, tuk tuk drivers or people trying to sell you something. International sign language of shaking your head and walking on usually works. But try some of these phrases, you might surprise them. They then might stop bothering you.

Mai dtong kran and Mai ao khrab mean I do not want anything ( for women you must say k้ha not khrab )

Mai mee dtang mean I do not have any money

Leum ao dtang ma mean I forgot my money

Mai yak bpai mean I do not want to go

Let’s  learn about word called ” khai” mean egg in Thai language. If you know how to say it, it’s so much fun to speak.

There are many several word to identify about kind of  khai. And I will tell you about egg which is most people can eat. also some photos to show you.

Previous article I wrote about food or aa haan as we called it in Thailand. There is another word you can mean about food.

Thai people call ” food” as ” kaao” ( it’s same meaning of aa haan ). Only this words is like informal but does not mean it impolite.Most Thai people like to say that kaao.

Word ” food” in Thai, we speak as aa haan

And there are many words in Thai language to say about  “aa haan” in different time and different kind of food

aa haan jaan  lak mean main course of meal

aa haan chao mean breakfast

aa haan klang wan and aa haan tiang mean lunch

aa haan yen and aa haan kham mean dinner

aa haan whan mean desserts

aa haan khaw mean main course food (usually made of meat of fish)

aa haan jaan duan mean fast food

aa haan choot mean set menu

aa haan waang mean like snack , small meal between time of main course

aa haan bpra jam mean regular meal

aa haan haeng mean dried food

Wae la mean time

Wae la non mean bed time

Wae la chao and Dton chao mean in the morning

Wae la tiang and Dton tiang or Dton klang wan mean in the noon

Wae la baai and Dton baai mean in the afternoon

Wae la yen and  Dton yen mean in the evening

Wae la klang kheun and Dton klang kheun mean in the night

Wae la nee and Dton nee mean now, at this time

Wae la nan and Dton nan mean last time ,at that time

Wae la nai and Dton nai mean question is ” What time… and When… ?”

How to say ” you’re in mood” in Thai

As you know how to say in English when you’re in mood. When you have Thai Girl friend or Thai friends if they make you feel funny or angry because of something they do. Would you like to speak it through in Thai language,wouldn’t you?. That may make thm to understand how you really feel. Follow me !

This word ” arom” mean mood

If you’re in good mood,It is aromdee in Thai language. How to use it !

example: I am good mood is phom aromdee.

I am bad mood is phom arom mai dee or phom aromsia (phom used for men,women use “chan”)

You can use those words to answer your girl friend or your friends .when you hear them ask you bpen arai ?, which mean Are you alright?

arom khan mean sense of humor. To use this word saying about someone who has  humor

example: you has good humor is Khun mee arom khan dee in Thai language

arom ron or jai ron mean people who’re hot temper

arom yen or jai yen mean people who’re always calm

How to ask How are you ? in Thai language

Begin the new day with greeting to Thai people as  asking How are you ? with Sawasdee  that sounds nice, doesn’t ?. But if you can say it in Thai language that would make you feel closer to them and they also feel  your friendly and comfortable with you more.

Bpen yang rai ? mean how are you ?. It’s used to ask in many situations such as people is sick, in daily life

Bpen yang ngai ?. It’s the same meaning. Most Thai people use  this sentence to ask people who are  sick and how they are going.

In Addition, Bpen yang rai bang ?

Now you know how to ask them as how are you ? to show how you concern for.

How to say “What did you say” for Thai language

Have you ever been a wonder  when you heard  Thai people talking about something ?, which they might be gossiping you. And  Have you ever thought to ask them back and Do you ever think to learn more Thai language? To understand what Thai people say. This is some sentence to teach you a bit how to ask “ what did you say “ in Thai.

Khun phuut a rai ?. This  mean what did you say  ?. And you can say in short word as Phuut a rai ? or Phuut a rai na krab/ka, when you did not hear what they said in time. Furthermore,  when you hear Thai people who can not speak English you will understand them more.

1. Mai chop gin mean you do not like to eat something
